UK Privacy Notice

How the UK DenialFight service processes claim documents, special-category health data and international transfers under UK data-protection law.

This notice is for the United Kingdom service. Claim files can contain special-category health data. Upload only what is necessary and use the delete control when the review is no longer needed.

1. Scope and controller / Alcance y responsable / Escopo e controlador

Applies to the UK service at /uk/ and /uk/review/. It does not govern an insurer, broker, regulator, payment provider or external site.

DenialFight.com is the service operator and controller where applicable. Exact registered supplier identity, registration number and postal address must be displayed before any live regional checkout; regional checkout remains unavailable until those fields are configured.

2. Data processed

  • Contact and transaction details you provide.
  • Policy, claim, denial, supporting evidence and narrative.
  • Uploaded files, extracted text, document metadata and generated drafts.
  • Device ID, server session, IP address, approximate country, page journey, security and consent records.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Contract steps requested by you, legitimate interests in security and service operation, legal obligations, and explicit consent for special-category data where that condition is used.

4. Sensitive or special-category data

Health information is special-category data. A separate, explicit upload consent is collected; withdrawing consent does not invalidate earlier lawful processing and may prevent completion of the review.

5. Recipients and international transfers

Restricted transfers use an applicable UK adequacy regulation, International Data Transfer Agreement, UK Addendum or another lawful safeguard. Provider locations and roles are listed on the subprocessors page.

6. Retention and security

Uploaded documents, extracted content, the preview and generated package are scheduled for deletion from active DenialFight systems within 10 days, unless deleted sooner or preservation is legally required.

Limited payment, consent, fraud-prevention and legal-compliance records may be retained separately for the period required by law and must not contain the uploaded document body unless preservation is required.

7. Your rights and complaints

You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection where applicable and may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
